Norberto Núñez, her father, returned from work at 9 in the morning and found them in bed. What followed was not a shout: it was a beating. He fractured the teenager’s jaw and nasal septum until he passed out. A neighbor heard the rest from her window: broken glass, a “you jump or I’ll throw you”, and then Iván’s body falling diagonally into the void, held by the neck until the last second.
Forensic examinations confirmed that he fell unconscious, with no defensive injuries on his hands. Núñez claimed that the young man “jumped on his own”, but witnesses and his own prior threats sentenced him to life in prison.
