Pandora doesn’t dig out of boredom; she digs by vocation.
In Monte Aprazível, Brazil, this mixed-breed dog, just over a year old, had already gained a reputation in her home: she had unearthed flip-flops, toys, food, and even a complete grill, much to the constant amazement of her owner, Lucas Alves Magalhães. But nothing prepared him for the day he saw her walking through the yard with something white peeking out between her lips.
“I couldn’t see what it was, so I called her”, Lucas said. When he lifted her head, he nearly fell over laughing: Pandora had come across a complete set of dentures and was wearing them as if they were her own teeth, smiling without knowing she had just sparked a household mystery. According to Lucas, the previous owners of the house were an elderly couple, so the dentures probably belonged to them. Days later, as if to close the case, Pandora dug again and found the other half in another spot in the yard.
