Ordering food for delivery should end with a tip… not a bullet. That was what Alpha Barry, a DoorDash delivery driver just 24 years old, experienced when he got lost looking for an address in New York and ended up in front of the wrong house.
His cellphone was dead. He only wanted to ask for directions. But local official John Reilly, 49, came out armed with a .45-caliber pistol, shouted “Get out of here!” and began shooting at his Toyota Corolla.
One bullet went through the car and shattered his back. Barry survived, but lost part of his intestine and spent months using a colostomy bag. Reilly was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
