Shrikant Pandey had a career and a father who had almost no time left.
Everything changed when his mother died of cancer. That pain taught him something that many take a lifetime to understand: the years wait for no one. So he quit his job and decided to devote himself to something different — taking his 80-year-old father to experience everything that life had put off for him.
One of those dreams was flying. His father had never been on an airplane, so Shrikant took him to an airport, seated him by the window, and recorded his reaction when the plane took off. “A dream that took 80 years to come true”, he wrote when sharing it. The video, showing the father’s smile as he looked at the clouds from above for the first time, spread across India’s social media and touched thousands who understood the message: time with the people we love cannot be recovered; it must be cherished.
