Kanpur Dehat, in India, woke up to a story that is hard to believe. A man and his mother-in-law went viral after posting a video in which they appear wearing garlands, showing a marriage certificate, and asking for blessings for their new life together.
The recording caused immediate bewilderment. After all, it is not every day that someone goes from calling a person “mother-in-law” to calling her “wife”. The couple publicly defended their relationship while social media tried to understand what was happening.
