In San Francisco de los Romo, Aguascalientes, neighbors trusted Omar “N”, a 44-year-old man who made a living scavenging for trash and claimed to take in stray dogs to care for them. 🐾
None of those dogs ever reappeared. As suspicions grew, an anonymous tip led the Municipal Police and the State Prosecutor’s Office to his home in the Hidalgo subdivision.
There, they found bone remains from at least four dogs and the lifeless body of another one.
According to prosecutor Manuel Alonso García, Omar, known as ‘El Pinto,’ confessed that he beat them to death, cooked them, and ate them. He said his favorite part was the heart.
He now faces charges of offenses against ecological balance and harm to health, with a possible sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
