Juanito Jonsson lived during the 1970s with his missionary parents in Bolivia, where Ana Jiménez cared for him. To thank her for her love, he invited her out to eat and gave her donations that he himself raised.
There are parents who, for various reasons, must hire another person to take care of their children and carry out household chores while they work. And there are many children in the world who have been raised by people who are not their parents.
Juanito Jonsson’s story is one of those. The man, who is now an adult, traveled from Spain to Bolivia to reunite with the woman who cared for him when he was little.

According to information from the outlet Unitel, Juanito came to live in Yacuiba, Bolivia when he was a 6-month-old baby, since his parents were Spanish missionaries during the 70s. At that time, Ana Jiménez was hired as a nanny by Juanito’s parents to care for him and raise him as if he were her biological son.

After a couple of years, Juanito grew up and went to live in Fuengirola, Spain, where he spent most of his life. However, the warm affection and care Ana gave him always remained in his memory.
That was how he made the decision to look for the woman through his social media, sharing a video and a post on Instagram. When he managed to find her whereabouts, he set out on a trip to Bolivia, on the border with Argentina, where he learned Ana lived.

As Juanito explained, Ana “had lost a son, that’s why she gave me so much love, and after more than 45 years I found her and I want to bless her“.
Through his investigation, he learned that Ana made a living selling candy on the street, so Jonsson took the opportunity to visit her to bring her voluntary donations that he organized through his social media.

After a couple of days, between the trip and the stay in Bolivia, Juanito and Ana were reunited after 45 years in Yacuiba. When the moment of the meeting came, Ana started crying with emotion and they both hugged each other.

Juanito gave her the donations he had collected and showed her a photo album from when Ana was young and cared for him. After that, he invited her to eat at a restaurant and to walk around the city.
