Marcelo spoke with Iker Casillas and revealed how he feels about the decision of his son, Enzo Alves, who represents Spain in the youth divisions:
“As a Brazilian, yes, it does get to me that my son plays for Spain, because throughout my entire life my youth teams were always in Brazil. Enzo was born in Spain, his whole life is here, he loves Brazil and Río de Janeiro, he puts on the Fluminense jersey, goes to the beach, he is Brazilian”
“But he has everything here and the Spanish national team was very top with us. They called us, explained the project they have, and for me that is the most important thing: that he feels happy and comfortable with the decision, but the decision is his”, concluded the former Real Madrid player.
