Desperate, the 76-year-old actor asked a friend to go to the woman’s house in Los Angeles to see if everything was okay. But when they arrived, they found a note on her bedroom door, and shortly afterward the tragedy was confirmed.
Katherine Short died in February at the age of 42 and, according to reports, had spent years struggling with serious mental health problems.
