A completely unusual situation took place in Ecuador’s Serie B during the match between LDU Portoviejo and El Nacional.
It all happened when the medical cart entered the field to remove an injured player from the visiting team, but in the middle of the maneuver it accidentally ran over another player who was walking distractedly near the vehicle.
The scene quickly went viral because of how surreal the moment was. The impact was not head-on, but from the side, so fortunately the soccer player did not suffer serious injuries.
Even so, the images caused disbelief among the fans, and on social media many described the incident as one of the most unusual situations of the year in South American soccer.
The episode occurred while the medical staff was trying to attend to the original emergency, which made the moment even more chaotic.
