At a 2016 conference, the duchess said she would never sell products that were too expensive because she wanted her brand to feel close and accessible. She even delivered a line that many are remembering today:
“There are no $100 candles on my website. That’s so obnoxious!”, she said with a laugh.
The problem is that almost ten years later, Meghan launched a candle collection for her new brand As Ever, and the full set costs… $256. 😂
Social media was quick to accuse her of contradiction and hypocrisy, although her followers say the candles can also be purchased separately at a lower price. 😅
