Meisha lost her sight to glaucoma and had to undergo surgery to remove both eyes. The pain went away, and she learned to navigate the world by trusting her nose and her memory. She didn’t need anyone to guide her.
Then Willow arrived, a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, and from the very first day she stuck to her older sister like a shadow. She followed her everywhere, slept close to her, and one day, without anyone asking her to, she took Meisha’s leash in her mouth and walked beside her with her chest puffed out with pride.
Her family says that now, whenever it’s time to go out, Willow runs to find Meisha so they can walk together. It’s not that she needs her. It’s that she chose to stay by her side, and that, they say, says more about love than any words. 🐾❤️
