Milo spent 12 days under the rubble of a collapsed building in La Guaira, Venezuela, after the double earthquake on June 24, 2026.
No one knew if he was still alive.
A K9 dog was the one who finally found him, on the fourth floor of the collapsed building.
That’s where brothers Ángel and Pablo Vega arrived, leaders of Topos Azteca of Nayarit, Mexico, together with the USAR El Salvador unit, the same team that days earlier had saved Camila Sofía Medina Rivas, 15, and her dog.
It was the third time Topos Azteca had come to Venezuela to rescue lives, after Cariaco in 1997 and the Vargas landslide in 1999.
This time, the life they saved had four legs and had waited 12 days under the concrete.
