Sierra, a 13-year-old husky, managed to reunite with her owner more than a decade after disappearing. 🥹❤️
The dog was found alone and in very bad shape in Florida. She was thin, missing part of her fur, and could barely walk, but everything changed when the shelter decided to scan her microchip.
Thanks to that, they discovered that Sierra had a family that had been looking for her since 2014, when she disappeared in New Mexico.
The Sheriff’s Office said that her owner, Bryce, “never stopped wondering what had happened to her”, and that when he saw the photos of Sierra, “his heart broke”, although he also felt enormous joy knowing that she was still alive.
After receiving medical treatment and traveling more than 2.000 kilometers with the help of volunteers, the husky was finally able to return home, and although it took her a while to recognize her owner, they are already making up for all the lost time. 😭❤️🩹
