More than 15 years after Natasha Richardson’s death, her son Micheál revealed one of the most special ways he has to feel close to her: watching The Parent Trap over and over again, the film in which the actress played Elizabeth James.

According to him, that character is very much like what his mother was like off camera. “I see her a lot as that person”, said Micheál, who says the film allows him to hear her voice again, see her smile, and remember the warmth that characterized her.

Natasha died in 2009 at the age of 45 after a skiing accident. In 2019, her son even officially adopted the surname Richardson to honor her memory, showing that her legacy remains very present in his life.
