The study was conducted by the U.S. Dairy Innovation Center together with Edelman Intelligence, surveying 1,000 adults from all 50 states. The result: 7% said with complete confidence that brown cows exist that naturally produce chocolate milk. And it doesn’t end there: 48% of respondents, nearly half of all those surveyed, admitted that they did not even know where this drink they probably had as children actually comes from.
The organization clarified that it was not a scientific study, but rather a way to measure how informed consumers are about the dairy products they buy. The result speaks for itself: in the 21st century, millions of people in one of the most developed countries in the world still do not connect chocolate with the real process behind your glass of milk. 🥛
