Mother celebrated with a sign on her car that her son does not have leukemia: “I know God healed him”. Only parents will understand how difficult it is to deal with their child having a serious health problem, because in those circumstances all you hope for is that your little one gets better soon and can have a normal life. However, sometimes to reach that point of recovery, you have to go through a long and painful process that no one would want to be in.

That is why mothers and fathers will do whatever is within their reach to lend a hand to their little ones in these circumstances. Sonia Raquel Bolla, a mother from the city of Mariano Roque Alonso, Paraguay, knows that very well, as she recently had to deal with a difficult moment when her 1-year-and-8-month-old son became ill.

“15 days ago, my baby started bleeding from the nose, at first it was only one nostril, then both nostrils and heavily, and spots and bruises also started appearing on his skin. I took him to Clínicas for a consultation and the doctor referred me to the emergency room. There they told me it was possibly leukemia, I got scared and started crying”, Sonia said, according to Extra.

When she believed her son might have cancer, the mother became deeply worried because she knew these situations are extremely serious. However, she tried every possible avenue to rule out this oncological disease.

For that, the baby needed to undergo a bone marrow test. “That was when my fear began, first we agreed, then I remembered that a friend’s son had it done and it was very painful, I said my baby was not going to endure it and I refused”, she recalled. However, she was convinced because it was urgent to perform this test.

“He cried a lot in my arms while they were giving him anesthesia, and little by little he fell asleep. I laid him down on the bed and left there crying, my fear was that he would never wake up again. I went into the room, knelt down, and prayed to God, telling Him to take the pain away from my son and give it to me, that I could endure more than he could. I cried a lot and my husband told me to be strong. 10 minutes later they brought my son to me all limp with several doctors, and I thought something bad had happened”, she recounted.

However, fortunately, the baby had handled the test well, and over the weekend the good news arrived with the exam results. That was when they informed her that her son did not have leukemia. “I know God healed him and my promise was that I was going to put a sign on the car so that people would know the greatness of God and the miracle He performed in my son”, she said.

That was how Sonia put a sign on the back of her vehicle that read: “Thank God, the diagnosis was not leukemia, thank you for the life and health of our son, José Salomón. Your family loves you. We thank the doctors and licensed professionals at the Clínicas hospital for the excellent care from the very first moment”.
