Jackie Lynn is a 38-year-old woman from Norwich who is facing a nightmare after investing nearly $23,000 in dental treatment carried out in Turkey.
Seeking to improve her weakened teeth, she ended up with a life-threatening blood infection that caused severe facial swelling and the total loss of her natural teeth. The woman said that during one of the procedures, she underwent 15 root canals without her prior consent, which triggered abscesses that spread to her sinuses.
The patient can currently only eat soft foods while she waits for her 12 implants to heal so she can receive a permanent prosthesis.
