Can you imagine experiencing a moment of absolute terror right after bringing a life into the world? This is what happened to Kristyn Young in Dallas, United States.

In January of this year, just minutes after giving birth to her baby, she suffered a very rare complication: her placenta had attached too deeply and, when trying to remove it, the doctor ended up pulling her uterus out completely.

Kristyn said in early June that her doctor was in total shock, “like a deer frozen in headlights”, while she was vomiting and bleeding out from the severe hemorrhage. Fortunately, after a blood transfusion and emergency care, they managed to save her life. Today she and her son are healthy, and she is sharing her story to warn other moms.
