A mother of six in Wales decided to warn other families about the dangers of electric scooter batteries after an explosion completely destroyed her home while everyone was asleep.

Julie Buckler said she woke up after hearing screams and found the home filled with smoke and sparks. Her children had to crawl through the fire and even jump from the windows to escape. One of her daughters suffered a fractured foot after jumping from the second floor. Although the whole family managed to survive, the house was completely destroyed.

Firefighters explained that lithium batteries can catch fire quickly and reignite several times, making the blaze difficult to control. After the tragedy, Julie asked other parents not to leave these devices plugged in while they sleep.
