28-year-old Maddicyn Brokenshire faced a high-risk pregnancy in New Zealand due to amniotic band syndrome.

This unusual condition occurs when strands from the amniotic sac become tangled around the fetus’s body, limiting its growth. Little Ollyver James Ross Brokenshire was born by emergency C-section with bands pressing on his skull, which prevented his initial breathing.

After 11 minutes of resuscitation and a critical stay in the neonatal intensive care unit, the baby managed to stabilize. Currently, at 8 months old, his progress is favorable, showing a remarkable recovery after overcoming a medical scenario where the chances of survival were minimal.
