Kate Felmet exposed her cat on a sign. 🐾 In the garden of her home in Beaverton, Oregon, she wrote “My cat is a thief” and hung the objects Esme had brought from the neighbors alongside it so they could get them back.

The collection started with face masks: according to Kate, Esme brought 11 in a single day. Then came gardening gloves, which she carried one at a time—and almost always went back for the second one. She also brought a camera and even a taxidermied bat.

Before, Kate looked for each owner separately. With the sign, she estimated she’d returned about ten pairs of gloves. But getting the belongings back didn’t always put an end to the matter: Esme sometimes took the same gloves over and over again. 😅
