Jaca has 14,000 inhabitants and, at 18, Georgina Rodríguez found it too small. 🎒

Her mother did not give her a motivational speech or a fully formed life plan: she gave her 100 euros and let her go. With that, she made it to a hotel near Barbastro, earned her first paycheck and learned to pay rent on her own.

From there she moved to Madrid dreaming of studying Business Administration, left her résumé at Inditex and ended up behind the counter at Massimo Dutti, glancing sidelong at the shop windows on the Golden Mile as one looks at a museum one cannot afford.

Then came England, where she worked as a nanny to learn English, followed by a return to Spain and a job as a sales assistant at Gucci that would change everything: that is where she met Cristiano Ronaldo. She herself sums it up without dramatics: she enjoyed serving ten-euro menus in Graus just as much as she now enjoys selling her name to the world.

The only thing she misses about that former life is something money cannot give back: walking down the street without anyone recognizing her. 🇦🇷
