Nara Smith, 24, had always shown an almost perfect family life on social media. That’s why no one expected the video she posted at the beginning of July 2026: her daughter Whimsy Lou, just 2 years old, was diagnosed with cancer at the end of 2025.
It all started with something that seemed suspicious to her and her husband, Lucky Blue Smith. They took her to the ER, then to a children’s hospital, and after X-rays, ultrasounds, and a biopsy, the news came: the disease had already spread and Whimsy needed chemotherapy immediately.
While caring for the little girl in the hospital, Nara was also going through the postpartum period after her youngest daughter and raising two other children. She said that seeking out other parents who understood her loneliness was what helped her endure. 🙏
