In Philadelphia, a stolen truck chase ended in the yard of S. Weir Mitchell Elementary School. Crossing guard Jamele Ransom became the star of the day after rescuing a little boy trapped in one of the cars that was hit.
“My heart was going boom, boom”, recounted Jamele, who went viral for giving the post-tragedy interview while calmly enjoying an ice cream cone. “I thank Jesus for being alive”.
The suspect, Robert Littlepage (18 years old), was arrested after causing destruction. Although the school district says that no students were injured, Jamele’s bravery is undeniable.
