“At Bayern Munich there was a weigh-in every Thursday. To make weight, on Wednesday I fasted all day and went into the sauna wearing a coat. I would lose more than two kilos”, said the successful former footballer Niklas Sule.

“I don’t even want to say how he lived the following six days until the next weigh-in”, the former German defender confessed about his struggle to maintain the weight required of him at Bayern.
“Now that I’m retiring, I’ll go for a run from time to time, but without looking at the scale”. Physical fitness is a big part of being a professional footballer, and now Sule’s fasting Wednesdays are over.
