A badly placed pen and a bus ride were enough to create the most talked-about accidental work of art of the week.
She just wanted to tie up her hair. Nothing unusual, something anyone has done a thousand times with the first thing they find in their purse. The problem was that the tip of the pen was pointing straight at her skin, and with every movement of the bus, with every bump, with every sudden stop, it kept leaving a map of blue scratches all over her back without her even noticing.
The person sitting behind her did notice. They took two photos, compared the before and after, and asked the question we would all ask ourselves: should I tell her or let life explain it to her on its own? The most voted-for answer was not to say anything, to let her be the one to discover that she was wearing an accidental abstract work of art. Sometimes the best favor is not ruining the mystery.
