300 kilos of Norwegian salmon crossed the ocean just to end up on Norway’s national team’s plates. 🐟

There, sitting at the table, was Erling Haaland, 25, the same one who until recently preferred richly marbled red meat, heart, and liver over any fish fillet. But the coaching staff decided that heavy digestion was no companion for the round of 16, and asked him to change strategy: less meat, more fast-absorbing protein.

Chefs Aron Espeland, Eirik Tufte, and Christian K. prepared salmon, Arctic char, halibut, and Norwegian trout for the entire squad before facing Brazil. The result? Haaland scored two goals, was one of the standout players, and Norway’s national team achieved a historic qualification for the World Cup quarterfinals 🇳🇴🔥
