Leo Østigård, defender for the Norway national team, was in the United States playing in the 2026 World Cup when they told him: the moment had arrived. 🍼

He could not travel, he could not hold the hand of Aurora Eidmann, his partner. But his teammates set everything up so he would not miss a thing: a video call, a screen, and on the other side the birth of Atlas, his first child. Days earlier, Leo had scored a goal in the win over Iraq and had dedicated it to the baby who had not yet arrived.

“It’s crazy”, he said afterward, exhausted but happy, speaking about the enormous job Aurora did during labor. Thousands of kilometers from home, fulfilling every footballer’s dream, Leo became a father without letting go of his phone for a single second.
