Charles Leclerc is at the center of a controversy, but this time it has nothing to do with his performance behind the wheel, but rather with the outrageous gesture he made toward his wife Alexandra Saint Mleux, whom he married a few months ago and with whom he is expecting his first child.
During the Spanish Grand Prix weekend, the Ferrari driver was filmed walking alongside Alexandra toward one of the golf carts used to get around the circuit. When they arrived, Charles quickly took one of the seats without even looking at his pregnant wife, who was also holding the leash of their pet, Leo. As if that weren’t enough, the driver lightly pushed her with his hand to indicate that she should keep walking in search of another spot.
The scene lasted only a few seconds, but that was enough for many people to accuse him of being inconsiderate toward her and to find his actions outrageous and ungentlemanly.
However, there was another detail that fueled the criticism even further. In the footage, Lewis Hamilton appears to realize that Alexandra is still standing and begins to get up, apparently ready to give her his own seat if she could not find another one available.
