A former prison guard in the United Kingdom resurfaced after her intimate video recorded inside a cell blew up on social media. And yes… her defense was basically, “the prison was very disorderly”. Because clearly the protocol for overcrowded prisons now includes romantic encounters behind bars.
Linda De Sousa Abreu said she felt ashamed of what she did, although she also described the prison as a chaotic place, understaffed and practically impossible to control. The inmate involved topped it off by saying that cell phones, fast food, drugs, and “VIP favors” for some inmates were circulating inside.
Does the prison being chaotic justify an officer ending up becoming intimate with an inmate?
