Luis is about to turn 100.

He has walked with Jesus for 75 years, and that steadfastness was what he wanted to pass on to his family during a family service in his own home. He spoke neither of achievements nor of memories from a long life. He advised them to maintain a close relationship with God through daily prayer, a simple habit he never gave up.

As he reflected on his journey in the church, he summed it all up in one phrase: “I never looked away”. For him, that was the secret. He reaffirmed his trust in Jesus Christ as “the way, the truth, and the life”, the words that describe what sustained him for three quarters of a century.

His grandson, Bruno Fantichelli, shared the moment on social media, and the message began to spread. Hundreds of people responded, highlighting his perseverance, wisdom, and the example of faith he sets for those around him. Almost a century of life, and his advice fits into a single sentence.
