Jorgelina Aseff could not move on her own. Neither could Victoria Gutiérrez. They met through a Facebook app in January 2026, weeks before seeing each other face-to-face for the first time, and that first meeting was not in a café or a park: it was in a room at Lagomaggiore Hospital, in Mendoza, where Victoria was hospitalized.
Jorgelina returned to that room twice more. There, amid IV drips and medical tests, their bond became something more.
Victoria has secondary cerebral palsy and very limited mobility; even so, she was the one who organized the marriage proposal, with the help of a hospital security guard who became her accomplice in the scene.
Today they live separately — Jorgelina with her parents, Victoria in another house — and each trip between the two homes is a challenge because of both women’s physical conditions.
They already have a place to move into together. The only thing missing is a caregiver to assist them every day. Without that, neither the move nor the wedding Victoria dreams of can go ahead.
