Christina Clemens is 46 years old and lives in Polk County, Florida. It all started as a routine domestic violence call: she accused her 22-year-old son, Shane, of hitting her. The officers arrived thinking it was another family-fight case.

It wasn’t. During questioning, Shane admitted that he had been having a sexual relationship with his mother since he turned 18. When it was Christina’s turn, she didn’t deny it: she said they had had sex “only about 100 times”, as if the number softened what she was confessing. Christina’s husband, questioned by detectives afterward, said he had never suspected anything, although he admitted that it struck him as odd that mother and son would shut themselves together in the master bedroom.

Sheriff Grady Judd called the case “disgusting” and ordered the charges: incest for both of them, and adultery for her. What started as a domestic dispute ended up uncovering something that even the husband himself never imagined was happening under his roof.
