At 9 years old, David Aguilar, known as “Hand Solo”, found a way to respond to the bullying he faced because he was born without a fully developed right arm. He built a prosthesis from Lego pieces. What began as a way to stand up to his bullies ended up becoming a passion that would change his life.

Over the years, he refined his designs, earned a Guinness World Record, and collaborated with NASA. But one of his proudest achievements came when he helped Beknur, a boy from Kazakhstan who was born without arms, for whom he designed a custom prosthesis that enabled him to play ball and become more independent.

Today, while finishing his Bioengineering studies, he shares his designs for free so others can replicate them. His goal is to show that disability should not limit anyone’s opportunities and that access to a prosthesis should not be a luxury.

From Lego pieces to changing lives. David turned bullying into an opportunity to help others. 🦾❤️
