An incident that occurred on Mount Emei, located in Sichuan province in China, has sparked massive outrage following the spread of a video on social media.

The recording shows a man trying to push a Tibetan macaque that was feeding on a railing at the edge of a precipice. The animal managed to regain its balance and defended itself from the man, who fled the scene while laughing.
Authorities from the Scenic Area Management Committee identified the person responsible and placed him on a blacklist, banning him from entering the site for 3 years. Lawyer Guo Gang pointed out that if the specimen had died, the fine would have reached 13,800 dollars.
