A woman had traveled to Turkey for a rhinoplasty costing about US$4.500 and was in the middle of her recovery when the accident happened. According to the video that began circulating on social media, she was playing with her daughter when the girl’s head struck her newly operated nose directly.
The blow reportedly happened just a few days after the procedure and, according to the viral account, caused pain, swelling, and a visible change in the shape of her nose, compromising the results of the surgery.
The woman ended up returning to the hospital and reportedly had to undergo another operation to repair the damage. That said, several details of the case come from social media posts and have not been independently confirmed.
The story quickly drew comments, especially about the price of the rhinoplasty and how little time the results lasted before the blow.
