A woman in Surgut, Russia, experienced moments of real terror when she became trapped inside an elevator after a portable charger suddenly exploded inside her bag. The dramatic incident was captured by the residential building’s security cameras.
The shocking footage shows the woman entering the elevator completely normally while carrying a bag slung over her shoulder. Just seconds after the doors closed, smoke began coming from inside the accessory. The situation worsened in a matter of moments: the portable charger exploded violently and created an intense fireball inside the cramped cabin.
In the midst of the panic, the woman desperately threw the bag to the floor and tried to press the elevator buttons while the fire kept spreading. She repeatedly pounded on the doors trying to escape, as a thick cloud of smoke began to almost completely cover the interior. Finally, the doors opened and the woman ran out seconds before the cabin was completely engulfed. Fortunately, she was not injured.
