In 2018, Paris Jackson came across a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame bearing the name Michael Jackson, covered in graffiti. Without giving it much thought, she knelt down and began removing the paint herself with cleaning products.
But there was one detail that Paris discovered later: that star did not belong to her father. It actually honored another Michael Jackson, a well-known American radio host who shared a name with the King of Pop.
Far from regretting having cleaned it, Paris explained that it didn’t change anything for her. “A name is a name”, she wrote when sharing images of the moment.
In the end, she finished cleaning the tribute to a complete stranger, thinking she was defending her dad’s, but when she discovered the mix-up, she didn’t feel she had wasted her time either.
