He said he met Mary a year before Jennifer died, and that he decided to marry her while caring for his first wife and undergoing, as he recounted it, his own treatment for prostate cancer. He didn’t hide it: he called it a ‘holistic Christian polygynous marriage,’ as if it needed an elegant name for something that sounds like betrayal to most people.
