Patrick Clancy lost his three children in January 2023.
Cora was 5 years old, Dawson was 3, and Callan was just 8 months old when they were found lifeless in their home in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Their mother, Lindsay Clancy, was accused of killing them, but the trial ended in a mistrial: 11 of the 12 jurors were willing to absolve her, considering that she was experiencing severe postpartum psychosis.
While that legal process remained unresolved, Patrick quietly rebuilt his life. He met Rachel Danis, a fertility specialist, at a running club in New York in January 2024. They married in April of this year. Now, in their first public interview since the mistrial, given to ’60 Minutes’, the couple confirmed that they are expecting their first child together. When asked whether they were starting a family, Danis simply answered ‘yes,’ and Patrick added something that lingered in the air: he cannot wait to tell his next child about the siblings they will never know.
