Imagine preparing your whole life for the big moment of walking your daughter down the aisle, only to end up strutting down alone like it was a fashion runway. That’s exactly what happened to 60-year-old Neil Crossley in Yorkshire, England.
Due to a funny misunderstanding, Neil thought he was supposed to start walking when the staff told him to wait.
Without looking back, he confidently made his way down the aisle while the bride, Amy Totty, stood at the entrance staring in confusion. Staff members had to stop him halfway through to remind him that he was missing the most important accessory: the bride.
“It was just a simple miscommunication,” Amy said with a laugh, adding that the mistake actually helped calm her nerves and stopped her from crying before the ceremony. The video quickly went viral after guests burst into laughter watching Neil turn around and go back to get her.
“The guests thought I had shown up to the wrong wedding,” Neil joked during the reception speech. In the end, the small mix-up turned a formal ceremony into an unforgettable moment that nobody there will ever forget.
