It all started with a map. A Peruvian man was calmly planning a route on Google Maps when something on the screen caught his attention. On the Bridge of Sighs, one of the most romantic spots in the Barranco neighborhood, in Lima, there was a woman sitting on a bench… with a man lying across her legs while she caressed him. 😶
The problem was not the couple. The problem was that he recognized that woman immediately: her curls, the blouse, the T-shirt, the boots, the pants. It was his wife. And the photo had been captured by the Google Street View vehicle in 2013, several years before he discovered it by accident while looking up how to get somewhere. 😅
When he confronted her with the image, she had no way to deny it and ended up confessing the affair. He filed for divorce, uploaded the photos to Facebook for the whole world to see, and according to several sources also took the bank card and the car. In 2018, he publicly confirmed that the divorce was a done deal and that he was proud of his decision. Moral of the story: if you’re going to cheat, maybe avoid doing it in front of a Google car. 📍
