Phoenix is one of the few survivors of a wildfire that tore through a dog meat farm in South Korea, claiming the lives of 700 animals.

She suffered severe burns and smoke inhalation and was still nearly slaughtered for human consumption, but fortunately, a group of rescuers convinced the farmer to hand her over for medical care.

After being rehabilitated by Humane World for Animals, Phoenix was moved to Canada, where she found a forever home with Tanya Thibaudeau.

Today, Phoenix lives far from the horror of the cages, sharing her days with her new best friend, a Golden Retriever named Willow, proving that even after hell, there is a second chance. 🐶❤️
