Scott Taylor is a wildlife photographer in Nebraska, United States, and he has spent years pursuing the perfect shot.

This time he got it: a northern cardinal flying straight toward his camera, chest forward and wings fully spread.

That bird is fast, erratic, almost impossible to predict. The moment it spreads its wings like that lasts a fraction of a second, and Taylor had it in focus and sharp.

When the photo went public, thousands of people immediately noticed something: the cardinal looked like Red, the protagonist of Angry Birds.

The comparison went viral almost instantly. There is no editing or filters behind it, just patience, good reflexes, and the right equipment.

Sometimes nature gets ahead of fiction, and this cardinal proved it by flying straight toward the lens.
