Two years ago, Nash Keen came into the world at just 21 weeks of gestation, becoming the most premature baby on the planet to survive. At the time, he weighed only 285 grams, less than a grapefruit, and doctors did not know whether he would make it through his first hours of life.
Against all odds, Nash fought for six months in the neonatal intensive care unit until he was discharged at the beginning of 2025. His incredible story earned him the Guinness record as the world’s most premature baby when he turned 1 year old.
Today, at 2 years old, his reality is very different. According to his mother, Nash now weighs more than 11 kilos, is talking more and more, imitates animal sounds, crawls, plays with other children, and continues to surprise his doctors with every new milestone. Although he still requires some care due to his extremely premature birth, his development has exceeded many of the initial expectations.
His family acknowledges that the journey has not been easy. He recently even had to be hospitalized for a respiratory illness related to his lung condition, but he managed to recover in time to celebrate this new birthday surrounded by his loved ones.
For his parents, Nash is proof that hope can prevail even in the most difficult circumstances. What began as a story full of uncertainty ended up becoming a symbol of resilience that has moved millions of people around the world.
