Kylie Perez, a content creator from Tampa, Florida, known on OnlyFans as “Natalie Monroe”, ended up sentenced to prison after earning more than US$5,4 million through her social media accounts.

According to court documents, Perez earned that money between 2019 and 2023 through her work as a content creator. However, authorities determined that during those years she stopped paying at least US$1,5 million in taxes.

The problem was not merely a debt to the tax authorities. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Perez filed a false tax return for 2019 and subsequently also failed to pay the taxes she owed between 2020 and 2023.

Perez pleaded guilty on May 20, 2026 and on August 20 received her sentence: one year in a federal prison, followed by another year of supervised release.

Federal prosecutor Gregory W. Kehoe was blunt after the sentencing: “Avoiding payment of the income tax owed is a violation of our federal tax laws”.

For his part, Ron Loecker, an official with the IRS criminal investigation unit, issued another warning when referring to the case: “When someone chooses personal luxury over fulfilling their tax obligations, the consequences are inevitable”.

Thus, “Natalie Monroe”‘s story ended up taking an unexpected turn: more than US$5,4 million generated in just four years, a tax debt of at least US$1,5 million, and a one-year federal prison sentence.
