Brazilian model and influencer Thaylana Cordeiro de Sousa Santos, 22, lost her life after experiencing health complications during bariatric surgery.
The young woman was admitted to the Calixto Midlej Filho Hospital in Itabuna, Brazil, to undergo this weight-loss surgical procedure in order to improve her physical well-being. The content creator suffered from type 2 diabetes and used specific medications, in addition to having experienced a drastic increase from 50 to 150 kilos during her adolescence due to anxiety problems.
Medical specialists are still investigating the causes of this death, which shocked her male and female followers.
