Bridget Freitas, a 30-year-old nurse from Pembroke Pines, Florida, was arguing with other fans when four officers forcibly removed her from the stadium. In the middle of the struggle, she slapped Detective Douglas Ross. He responded with a direct punch that left her lying on the ground.
A month later, Freitas accepted a deal with prosecutors: 50 hours of community service, an anger management course, a 100-dollar fine, and a letter of apology to the officer.
