No one knows how long they had been there.
In a wooded area of Montenegro, Quindío, a police patrol was making its routine rounds when they heard something that did not fit with the silence of the forest: the persistent crying of a baby. Among the vegetation, they found two siblings completely alone. A little girl, still small herself, held her baby brother, only a few months old, in her arms, protecting him from the cold and everything else while she waited for someone to arrive.
No one knows how they got to that place or who decided to leave them there. Authorities opened an investigation to reconstruct that part of the story, but for now the only thing clear is what that girl did: she did not let go of her brother. You can imagine the rest.
